Hello

Please forgive me if this topic has already been covered.

I would like to know if it is possible to simply use a usb pendrive to install Wolvix to an SSD netbook? That is - a netbook which has a usb port but no built-in or external cd-rom drive. Is this pendrive usb install procedure possible with the current Wolvix build?

I note the thread entitled HOWTO install Wolvix in USB, however, this seems to my be an instructional for how to boot from a usb and use the Wolvix system only within that booted usb environment. Is my inexperienced interpretation correct?

If anyone could help me create a Wolvix pendrive, for a full system install on a separate portable computer, much in the style often seen at PendriveLinux, then I would be very grateful.

I want to use Wolvix because I understand that it is small, fast and efficient. I hope it would be possible for me to do so with my humble little netbook.

Thank you

Pipps

Yes, it's not onlly possible, but very easy.

1. Boot live system on another computer.
2. Run wolvix-control-panel and select the usb installer
3. Install wolvix to your usb stick
4. Boot the netbook/laptop from the usb stick.
5. Run wolvix-control-panel and select the hard disk installer, selecting grub install
6. Boot the new wolvix intalled system
