I thought the project was down when I can't access the website and then the repo few weeks ago.
But today I see that Wolvix has released 2.0.0-build51 version in Distrowatch.
How happy I am!

I wish all the good things for this distro, and hoping that it will come out with a stable release.
You know if you can't make consistent fixed releases, you could opt with rolling-release model, IMHO.

Doh! Is the build listed at DW? Man I've got to find a way to keep my unstable builds from the public. I just uploaded it to the FTP server to download it on a different computer. Didn't know anyone was watching the server. Grin

Build51 is experimental, and it has a bunch of bugs, which I'm in the process of fixing as I write this. There will be a new beta release (beta3) soon, so there's no point in downloading the bugged build51 ISO.

Since it's already out in the open, (a bit premature) I'll make some announcements tonight. Stay tuned.

Maybe you should also ask Mr Bodnar not to post development builds just because some drooling fanboy nags him to.....

I've nuked the build51 ISO now. A new build (Build52) will be made public later tonight. No point in letting you all DL a bugged ISO on a slooow connection, so stay tuned. Remember though that this is just a development snapshot. A public beta will be announced in a few days. (hopefully)

Have you tried the latest build ISO? wolvix-2.0.0-build58.iso It's very close to what I planned the beta to be like. What's missing is GDM in replacement for SLiM, but I'm still having problems with getting GDM to work live as in a module. Also missing is a boot splash and a few minor package upgrades, which are available in the repo.

Hi Smiley

It wasn't me either! But i'm glad to hear it's out there. Anyone that tries a beta version expecting it to be bug-free is a fool, even with Wolvix! Another clue that it might not be perfect is build 52 rather than the next beta number. People surely test things like this in sandboxed areas, on spare partitions, in a virtualised environment with a fire-extinguisher close by & a sign on the door saying "Beware of the leopard" (or wolf)

Anyone that uses it on their main machine with their valuable data is going to learn a very valuable lesson one day & be very much better off for it.
