Seems like every distro has a "screenshots" thread, so:
Thought I'd start one: there have been a few random postings so far.
Sticky here: http://forums.wolvix.org/index.php/topic,1160.0.html for alternate desktops.

I'm not too flash at desktop themes so I'll just post any nice images I find:
found this pic at Raidens. http://www.raiden.net/images/pic_gal/thumbs/283.jpg

Hope y'all will drop some pics here  Smiley

xfce with conky-wbar

and my current desktop, icewm with thinblack theme:

btw, for anyone who hasn't yet discovered scrot.. it takes screen shots nicely and generates thumnails along with ( eg, 'scrot -t 10 path/to/destination.jpg' generates screenshot jpg along wtih a thumbnail 10% of the origional's size)

i like the idea of scrot.  I want to try it in other linux's but don't want to reboot into anything but Wolvix these days - lol, later then.  I've used the screenshot tool from the Paw menu but miss not being able to use the "Print Screen" key in the confusing messy way that Windows had it setup lol

Very nice Saavik.  I had no idea Mr. Spock uses Wolvix.  I wonder if Mr. Data is running on Wolvix?

Meh, I've not been switchin' out a single app in the DE, but I've configured them alright.

GTK+2: Mire_v2 Blue (Ported by ~thrynk)
Xfwm4: Kemikal (Made by ~lassekongo83), transparency enabled
Xfce: v4.4.2
Conky: Same old modded one from gnome-look.org
Wallpaper: Standard Wolvix 2.0.0 wp

And while I'm here, I will also tell you all that you are more than welcome to use any of my photography or whatever as wallpapers or what it might be that you'd want to use it for. Credit is always nice, though it's not required. You'll find my work at athero.deviantart.com.

Wow, that looks cool!  Good looking theme fits well.  I never knew those lyrics before - my noisy neighbour makes a lot more sense to me now.  Are those people making comments really interested in trying out Wolvix?  I couldn't think of good links but perhaps these would help?
http://wolvix.org/get.php
http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/install_wolvix.html
or maybe a link straight to the screenshots thread or something?  I still think dual/multi-booting is the best way or LiveCd it for a bit.  Maybe it's better to keep the mystery and awe though Wink  That desktop does look very awesome.  Superb Cheesy

Hey has the desktop and theming changed much?  Have people been able to use the Windows Managers on this beta2?  I like Midnight's screen shot but i guess it's a little dark until you view it full-screen.  Actually i think that's one thing that makes it look so cool

I also like the dark look of Midnight's desktop. I've been searching for a good black, or near black GTK theme to use on Wolvix, but I haven't found any which satisfies yet. Dark themes are very hard to get right.

Someone said the GTK+2 theme is Mire_v2 Blue,
http://thrynk.deviantart.com/art/Mire-v2-Gtk-themepack-45804371
The icon theme is Snowish 2.0, with Micro lying above, and icons from other black/white icon sets scattered around amongst the launcher buttons. Find this on gnome-look.org:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/SnowIsh+SVG+%26+PNG?content=32599,
and this is Micro.  Sadly, Micro has a proprietary license:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Micro+Icons?content=54349
not sure of which one though.
The icons are set as the GTK icon theme, so it should work in all GTK apps

Some people are very shy about taking credit for putting things together tho so i wont say who dug all that out Wink
