foomatic-rip-hplip failed

Hello

I have an hp5900 printer. Cups finds it and it's driver and adds the printer OK.
But it won't print a test page from cups and it won't work with lpr from the command
line either.

So I did slapt-get --remove hplip and removed/reinstalled the printer in cups and
voila! Now I can print. There must be something wrong with the hplip pkg.
I had to experiment a little with gutenprint drivers to find one that worked for me.

Thank you for the heads up. I'll look into the problem. We have some printer bugs in Wolvix and you might have stumbled upon the source of the problem.
