ddclient usage

I have downloaded the ddclient...tgz file from Wolvix site. Converted tgz2lzm (ddclient.lzm) and placed it in my /wolvix/modules directory for usage in my frugal install system. I have read other forums on how to do this but not sure they would apply to Wolvix. I would like to get some feedback on this matter from this forum.
1. I am unable to find the ddclient.conf file. Will I need to create it and what directory should I place this file in? Will it need to have special permissions?
2. What is the best way to auto boot into this file? I have multi users configured so need it running on startup. If I were to put it in my /rootcopy/.../rc.local file would I need to copy the rc.local file from etc/rc.d/ directory and append to it? What is the cleanest approach to this?

Looking at the README file in the package I see that the config file should be /etc/ddclient/ddclient.conf
What I would do is extract the module to a temp dir. (lzm2dir) create the /etc/ddclient/ directory structure in that dir and add the ddclient.conf to it, then make the module from the temp dir again. (dir2lzm)
It looks like the package does not included the 'sample-etc_ddclient.conf' (I did not create the package by hand, it was made with the SlackBot) I'd visit the ddclient website to see if it's available there, or download the source and see if it's included in it.
Yes you will need to copy the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file from Wolvix and append your changes to it. Otherwise HAL, dbus and other apps won't be launched at boot.
Hope that helps.

Give a man Debian, and he'll learn Debian. Give a man SUSE, and he'll learn SUSE. But give a man Slackware, and he'll learn Linux
