This is part of an "astroturf" movement to get the government to subsidize the big BIG COM's without regulation here in the states.
Dig a little and you will find a spin factory called "Nemertes" that specializes in propaganda for the COMs and junk science. There isn't any science really so actually it's ah..... Makes you wonder if the worm is the namesake. Then again the Nereid was a "comfort girl" for a monster
The real "End" that this is about is the "last mile" and "Net Neutrality" both big money issues for the big COMs.
Gazing into my crystal ball I predict these "warnings" will ramp up until the budget vote is done and their bill passes.
