I am using Wolvix 2.0.0 Beta2 as a live CD in a HDD-less system, saving persistent changes to wolvixsave.xfs on a USB stick with a 512MB ext3 partition.

If I attempt to log out using the Quit icon in the Xfce panel at the bottom of the screen, it closes X, but freezes before giving me the option to log in again, forcing me to shut the computer off.  Then upon rebooting, the wolvixsave.xfs file appears to be corrupted, and I lose all my persistent changes.

After this happened twice, I got smart and made a backup copy of the wolvixsave.xfs file on a network share.  I was able to recover last time it happened by simply rebooting strictly to memory and copying the backup I made BACK onto the USB stick.

Shutting down from the Quit icon seems to work without corrupting the persistent changes file, as does using shutdown from the command line.

If I restart X with Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, about half the time it returns to the log in screen, and about half the time it freezes.

Any ideas?  It's a real pain to have to recover my persistent changes every time this happens.
