Yodels All.
When I do...
slapt-get --upgrade

I get...
19/37 Get http://slackware.osuosl.org/slackware-12.2/ mozilla-firefox 3.0.10-i686-1 [9.3MB]...Failed to download: HTTP response code said error

and the --upgrade fails.
Since I really don't want to upgrade FF anyway is there a way to pass a FF exception to "--upgrade" ?

Thanks.

Clarification:
I could/am now use/ing Gslapt to deselect Mozilla apps etc. What I am after is terminal the command string.

Thanks again

hey yoyote!
There is this option --ignore-excludes to exclude packages when you install or update; I didn't try it though.

Edit: nice post number

 --ignore-excludes doesn't exclude packages when you install or upgrade - it 'includes' packages you previously excluded in /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc.

This file is where you tell the 'slapt-get' command to ignore certain packages on upgrade.

Here's mine:

WORKINGDIR=/var/slapt-get
EXCLUDE=^kernel-.*,^glibc.*,.*-[0-9]+dl$,^devs$,^udev$,aaa_elflibs,x86_64
SOURCE=http://slackware.osuosl.org/slackware-12.2/:DEFAULT
SOURCE=http://repo.wolvix.org/wolvix-2.0.0/:DEFAULT

Passing '--ignore-excludes' to slapt-get on my system would allow upgrading, for instance, glibc.

Try upgrading slapt-get: http://forums.wolvix.org/news-and-announcements/changes-in-slackware-repo-slapt-get-needs-upgrade/

EDIT:

Looks like the old package server is down. For those of you who have not done so yet, here's a guide on how to add the new repository to slapt-get and how to upgrade beta2: http://forums.wolvix.org/news-and-announcements/we-have-a-new-wolvix-mirror-%28how-to-add-this-to-slapt-get-and-upgrade%29/
