I've set up this board in order to try and collect all software requests in one place. It's very hard for me to remember all requests when they are scattered around the forum or in private messages and emails.

A few things to keep in mind when you request:

  • 0. Please check both the Wolvix and Slackware package repository to see if your request already has a package.
  • 1. I might not be able to fulfill your request due to technical reasons. Some software is notoriously hard to built. Also keep on mind that I have limited time and resources.
  • 2. Your request will most likely NOT be included in the ISO by default, but if I manage to build it (see above) I'll include it in the package repository.
  • 3. I might not reply to your request, but that doesn't mean that I don't read your post, or that I won't try to build it.

When making a request, please provide the following information:

  • 1. Give a short description of what kind of software it is.
  • 2. Provide a link (URL) to the home page of the software, so I don't have to search for it. (Saves me time)
  • 3. State what license the software is released under.

Example:

CinePaint - image retouching software
URL: http://www.cinepaint.org/
License: GPL

Give a man Debian, and he'll learn Debian. Give a man SUSE, and he'll learn SUSE. But give a man Slackware, and he'll learn Linux
